One way we "wake up" is through body pain, anxiety, depression, infertility, miscarriage, disease, etc. The body tantrums very loudly to get our attention, to get us to change our life. (Some people wake up from loss, grief, or a major, shocking life change). Through months or years, we slowly wake up in other ways too....like witnessing our minds addiction to victimhood.... then we witness our "masculine shield" that tries to protect us from pain and hurt. We are guided to learning how to cultivate inner safety within us, learning how to Mother to ourselves and be with our "shadow." Ultimately, the epicenter of the consciousness journey is: THE BODY!
