Some examples of daily ego stories: "I am failing as a parent because of XYZ," "Who am I to help people if I can't even figure out my own life," "I was so worthless because I got nothing done today," "My child is manipulating me," or "I can't wear this outfit on my date because my date will think XYZ of me......."
We cannot stop the constant flow of false ego stories, but we can CHOOSE to believe them or not, and act from them, or not! THAT'S where our power is!

A real and honest talk about what I notice about myself in my marriage. I quote my favorite book A Return To Love by Marriane Williamson: “The special love relationship is the ego's chief weapon for keeping you from Heaven on Earth."
**Special note: As I listened to the episode, I definitely laughed at HOW narcissistic the ego is when I said: "when people only post their happiness and gratitude on Instagram, it doesnt help me. It brings me no value." Of course the ego takes the situation of someone posting on Instagram, to make it personal!!!! Oh man! haha! People do NOT have to post on Instagram to help me or my ego. BUT, there is an undeniable truth that when an Instagram influencer uses their platform to share their struggles and not just their pretty hair and outfits, our suffering seems to lessen a bit, or we simply don't feel alone<3

Many mothers outsource their power to doctors..... but also to Instagram influencer moms! This is a disempowered energy state. This is a Mother operating from Maiden energy, the energy of not trusting inner intuition and instead wanting permission and validation from anywhere else, besides yourself. Mothers, its time to take your power back! This begins with learning your Inner Voice and Intuition!
Edited to add: I do believe our real life friends and community serve a beautiful purpose and its natural to want wisdom from wise women to help our situation, but its important to have self-awareness of when we are seeking opinions and advice from a disempowered state vs empowered state. Its important to learn when we crave a "savior" to save us from our situation, when that is an illusion.
